Line 6 EDIT

Edit, Manage, & Share Patches

Take control of your imagination, take control of your tone. Line 6 EDIT is a powerful software tool that allows you to edit parameters from your computer within a user friendly graphical interface. Let the graphics speak for themselves. EDIT will help you quickly and intuitively create the tones you desire, manage their patch locations, and share them online with other users.

Line 6's EDIT software is what allows you to "visually" edit/save/import tones on your Vetta II

(it also supports editing the HD147, Flextone III, PODxt, PODxt Pro and POD 2.0).

Soft & Hardware Requirements:

Line 6 Edit is a Java based application, and will run under either Mac OS X or any flavor of Windows that can run the latest Sun Java engine (note: Microsoft's Java doesn't count.) Mac OS X 10.2.4 or later has the required version of Java already installed, and if you don't have it on your Windows machine, the Line 6 Edit Installer will add it as part of it's normal installation. You'll also need a MIDI interface or the PODxt/PODxt Pro USB MIDI drivers installed on your system.

(EDIT DOWNLOAD)

The original Vetta I will not work with the New Line 6 Edit program. EDIT will "only" work with the 2.03 (or newer) version of software which is found in the Vetta II. So if you are using an older Vetta I you will need to upgrade it's software.

MIDI Interface Required

Line 6 Edit talks to your Line 6 hardware using MIDI messages. A MIDI interface as well as two MIDI cables are required to connect to the Vetta II's MIDI IN/OUT ports.

If your MIDI interface and drivers are installed correctly, then you shouldn't have any problems connecting to your Vetta II. Simply choose the Vetta II, and EDIT will automatically detect it for you.

And if you're looking for tone inspiration or just curious to check out what other tones users have created, EDIT allows you to go online where you'll be able to select tones from Line 6's Custom Tone website http://www.customtone.com, and have them downloaded into the EDIT software while automatically loading them into your Vetta II for instant auditioning. Select, edit, arrange, and save the tones you like.

CustomTone has expanding in a big way, adding support for all the same products as Line 6 Edit (PODxt, PODxt Pro, Vetta II, HD 147, Flextone III, POD 2.0, POD Pro and Flextone II). You'll be able to click the LOAD TONE buttons in library listings to transfer Tones directly from the library to your connected Line 6 product and to the Line 6 Edit software. You can check out the gigantic Line 6-authored library filled with selected Tones from the vast treasure trove of GuitarPort Online, including Tones matched to many of the greatest classic and new guitarists, bands and songs.
